Katrina Matejcik is a Filipino-American designer and educator. She teaches multiple lighting design courses at Parsons School of Design and is the curriculum coordinator for the Master of Fine Arts Lighting Design Lighting Design Program. Outside of academia, she practices as an architectural lighting designer at Loop Lighting in New York City. Katrina graduated from Parsons with an MFA Interior Design and Lighting Design Double Major and a Minor in Civic Service Design. Prior to Parsons, she received a Bachelor of Design in Architecture and minors in Product Design,  Studio Art, and Urban Studies from the University of Minnesota. Her creative practice is inherently interdisciplinary with throughlines of light and social justice. Katrina cares deeply about the ways in which people are shaped by their environment and the impact of design on the natural world.
